The SCOOP:
Lynda McKinney Lambert is a professional artist and author. She is a retired Professor of Fine Arts and Humanities, Geneva College, Beaver Falls, PA.
Lynda retired in August 2008 nearly a year after she was diagnosed with Ischemic Optic Neuropathy, October 2007. She suddenly lost most of her sight at that time.
Creating this blog was her pathway to begin to communicate with the world again.
Lynda was in a Personal Adjustment to Blindness training program for three months in 2008. It was two years before she could use a computer again. This blog was her first attempt at writing with assistive technology for the blind.
Background:
- BFA degree in Painting (Slippery Rock University of PA)
- MA Degree in English (Slippery Rock University of PA)
- MFA Degree in Painting (West Virginia University)
Comment:
Since I retired from my rigorous international teaching schedule, I can work full time on writing and art projects.
I am focused on creating works that celebrate life as a believer and follower of Jesus, since I was fifteen years old.
I do all of my work at River Road Studio in The Village of Wurtemburg, in rural western Pennsylvania.
