~Life at Home ~
I am thankful for spring bulbs, safely in the ground where they will transform over the winter months. I planted over 200 tulips, hyacinths and daffodils bulbs in October. I know that when the wintry storms are finally over, a variety of colorful flowers will loom to welcome Spring in western Pennsylvania.

~ My Art Life ~
For the first two weeks in November, I spent a couple of hours a day in my studio on the second floor of our garage. I had not been able to work there for some years. I washed the walls, shelves and tables, and hung new works on the walls. For Christmas, I placed a lovely little tree with twinkling Christmas lights in the double hung windows that face River Road. It looks so cozy and cheerful at night. A bright spot in the darkness.
Over the winter months, I will work on fiber art projects in the little cozy studio on the second floor of our house. While I work I am usually listening to a book on my NLS player, or listening to music.
I selected my art submission for InSights23.
Steel Diamond Talisman – mixed media fiber and bead working.
I sent it out in November and I won’t know if it is accepted for a few more months. The show is selected by a jury of professionals in the art field.

This is my 9th year to enter this show. Over the past 8 years I have won 8 awards for my mixed media fiber and bead worked artworks. The American Printing House for the Blind purchased two of my pieces from the shows in past years.
Equipment Issues:
My fifteen-year-old Acrobat CC TV recently expired.
I am now the owner of a 27inch screen Acrobat PR CC TV.
The technology has improved so much that this new piece of equipment is far superior to what I used all those years. This magnificent machine is my studio helper. I think of this space as “going to the garret” to do my day’s work.
