Ten Things of Thankful
August 15-20, 2021
This is my SECOND TIME to WRITE TTOT –
Let’s GO!
ONE_ I am thankful for FLOWERS to brighten our life in the month of August. I wrote a haiku to celebrate some of the flowers Garden Songs #5 on my porch – Garden Song #4
TWO_ I am thankful for our Dog. Miss Mitchell. We walked together for a mile, three mornings this week, in-between the daily rain.
THREE_ . I am thankful for our Granddaughter, Angel, who comes to clean our house every Wednesday. We get to visit and share stories together, too.
FOUR_ I am thankful for Retail Stores. What experience can compare with shopping in a beautiful store that provides personal assistance to customers? Nothing I can think of!
Back-to-School Shopping is going on right now. Yes, now is the time for kids to be prepared for going back to school. How exciting that is for them.
FIVE_ I am thankful for the delicious and healthy frozen dinners – Amy’s frozen dinners. Last night, I enjoyed the “3 Cheese and Rice with Kale Bowl,” for dinner. I began eating Amy’s meals when I lived in California in 1991. I love organic rice vegetables & pasta – all gluten free. Get Amy’s Recipes here
SIX_ I am thankful for the 8 pm check-in calls with our daughter, Salome’ each night. It’s good to have that last call of the evening to say, “I am just checking in with you!”
SEVEN_ I am thankful for Sidewalks. We had a new sidewalk installed this summer. It replaced the original broken and crumbling sidewalk on one side of our house. My goodness, does it ever feel good to walk on a nice solid and new sidewalk when I am outside doing my gardening.
EIGHT_ I am thankful for the fresh breeze coming into my office from the open window this morning.
NINE_ I am thankful for my husband who looked into my office to say, “Good Morning,” today.
TEN_ I am thankful for a phone call from our son this week. We have not seen him for about 2 years.
