Ten Things of Thankful Blog Hop
One_ Wet Wipes, tissues, and other paper products. The variety of paper products that we use every day make our life so nice. I have less laundry to do, thanks to paper towels. When I have the sniffles, a lotion-filled tissue feels so good.
Two_ Today’s new post on The Evergreen Journal #7 is inspired by some things that arrived in my mailbox this month. An envelope delivered to my porch, and mail deposited in my mailbox along rural River Road that runs past my home. My post also includes a poem for this time of seasonal changing in Pennsylvania. Read it here.
three_ My mother’s Bible. Esther died in 2007 and I’ve had her treasured Bible since that time. I am reading it with my eyes at this time. this is very unusual for me because of sight loss. It is much harder for me to read things like this – but I wanted to feel the experience of SEEING those words of life by using a closed-circuit TV. A Merlin TV. I am writing about that for next week’s post on The Evergreen Journal.
Four_ Encouraging messages from thoughtful friends, like YOU.
Five_ My sweet cat, Miss Opal, sleeps with me every night. When she thinks it’s time for me to arise, she begins licking my face, arms, and hands. But, beware. After her initial soft touches, she bites! Opal has always been a biter – it can be soft and tender love-bites, or it can be painful bites. I am always a little bit on alert when she is being so sweet.
Six_My all-black cat, Inca, comes to my office each morning. He sits by the window and waits for me to open the Venetian blind so he can view the woods outside. On warmer days, we open the window so he can smell and hear all the little critters and birds as much as he likes. (I do have 3 all-black cats – Inca, Mr. Vivian, and their mother, Miranda) We also have their calico sister cat, Miss Ivy.
Seven_My sister-in-law, Debby, who takes us to many doctor appointments – Bob and I do not drive . Bob and I have no way of getting there without such help.
Seven_ (CSTV) Cornerstone Television Network – we have the TV set to this channel all day long. What a difference it makes in the atmosphere of a home that is filled with programming that is uplifting and Christ-centered. It makes my husband so happy to watch and listen to the music during the day and evenings. He loves to sing along.
Eight_ In 2022, my goal is to keep every article and post I write on my blog under 700 words. So far, I am on track for doing that.
Nine_ the beautiful silver bangle bracelet I bought for my great-granddaughter, Isabella. She has 2 leading roles in the high school musical. I wanted to give her something that will last, instead of flowers. The bracelet has Vermeliho Garnets on it. Red is her favorite color.
Ten_ Our daughter, Heidi, is visiting for a couple of days. It is always nice to have her come and stay with us – she is so creative and fun to be with. She is helping me get some art ready to send out to an exhibition – she is great at packaging and mailing stuff!
