Inspiration comes to me through music, Art, and Books. When I am working in the studio, I am usually listening to a book , or music. When you step into my studio, you will immediately see a couple of areas where there are book shelves.
For next weeks feature at River Road Studio – I selected a FEW of the ART BOOKS on my shelves to share with you.
My art is inspired and influenced by the many years of looking at art in galleries, museums, and in books.
For The Week in Photos for next week – we will look at some of the artists who have inspired me over the years since I first began making art in 1976. WOW – that is over FORTY YEARS of LOOKING at ART!
THANK YOU for stopping by to see what is going on at River Road Studio!
I am always pleased that you visited. And, today, I am so happy to let you know that for right NOW you can get a copy of my chapbook – first snow – on SALE at Amazon.

5-Star Review by Peggy C. Turnbull on Amazon…
This collection of poems by Lynda McKinney Lambert is a reflection upon winter’s unique gifts. In the first snow, winter comes as a cloak that “conceals / gold-plated ginkgo leaves”. In a sequence of seven dreams, winter brings danger and struggle, also “dusty stars / [that] leave faint traces / on snow-covered path.” Images of darkness, wind, sunlight, fog, and frost reveal winter’s rich variety until the end of the book when winter’s margin overlaps with spring’s promise of “fanfare and ballyhoo.” Each carefully crafted poem depicts a winter of sensual abundance. I’m grateful for the reminder to look for surprises in the season–what’s hiding in its darkness, its contrasts. An appropriate gift for marking the solstice or the start of a new year. Has a book on art expanded your own vision of art?
