Brilliant – Merry Christmas

I worked on this poem that I planned to publish at Christmas time.

However, I think this poem expresses how the American People are feeling this morning  after we learned that our country has been saved by God’s grace.

My poem expresses the joy of knowing that God is in control, and HE has heard our prayers.

The Poem:  Brilliant (This poem is a Sestina)

 

 

One star in the night sky is brilliant

We want to gaze at it forever

bright rays flowing like a river.

Our journey was planned in Heaven.

This child was conceived in love.

The Word arrived, swaddled in Divine Glory

 

Angels announced His splendid glory

They sing brilliant

melodies of everlasting love.

A promise was sealed forever

in the courts of Heaven.

God’s mercy flows like a river.

 

We are refreshed by the river

that flows from the Throne of Glory.

We are adorned with preparation for Heaven

bejeweled and brilliant

forever

in love.

 

The shining star leads us to Love

We are immersed in the healing river

overflowing with forgiveness forever

The ultimate Glory.

He is the brilliant.

narrow path that leads to Heaven

 

Joy comes to earth, from Heaven.

We are called to walk in love

by the only One who is brilliant.

Sing psalms of praise at the river

where His Glory

reigns forever.

 

Forever, Heavenly angels praise His Glory

Love meets us beside the river.  He is Brilliant!

The Backstory:

For the past 4 years, American citizens  have witnessed the forces of darkness and death pervading our entire country, and the entire world.  People of faith and love of God and country have been assaulted, put in prison, called vile words such as deplorable, crazy, dangerous, and even garbage by our own government officials and wicked leaders.

We have prayed and put our faith in God to bring forth an end to the destroyers who have held the people captive, caused wars all over the world, and disregarded our Constitution.

God has been faithful, for HE, alone, is Brilliant.

This morning we learned of the victory of God’s people who voted by the thousands to overturn a corrupt government.  We have won, with God’s help.

This year, Christmas has come early.

We can greet each other with a smile and proclaim, “Merry Christmas, God is GOOD.”

 

Let’s sing a song of Happiness this morning and Thank God for his Grace. Listen and sing along!
