Ten Things of Thankful

This is my FOURTH TIME to WRITE TTOT –

Bible numerology number 4 consists of two numbers – 3 and 1. It has a strong and deep meaning, symbolizing the unity and strength after revelation of Almighty in the Trinity. The most important is that number 4 embodies all the things you see around, it depicts the Creations made by God.
Let’s GO!
I am thankful for…Planting Gardens and Friendships
ONE_ On Saturday, August 28, I planted a holly bush in one of my gardens. This garden area is a hillside that was home to five lovely Douglas Fir trees. A few years ago we had to get them cut down because the trees were so high they were endangering the roof of our house. We planted those trees over fifty years ago. It was a sad day when we saw them cut into pieces and taken away. I’ve worked very hard in this garden which is about 80 feet long. I created a colorful garden area with a variety of plants the past few years. Today, I put the final plant into the place where the largest of the Douglas Fir trees was located.
TWO_ A phone call from Christina M. Eder, in TN, yesterday. I was on her mind all day so she gave me a call. It was perfect timing. I just sat down for a few moments at my computer. Perfect timing and great conversation. We have never met in person! She is a professional life coach and I am inspired by Eternal-Life-changing people. She is the author of the Frog Blog Series, a trio of books. Christina is a “lover of hand-written notes.” I just ordered one of her books on Amazon. Check her out Here
THREE_ My brother, Tom, and my sister, Patti, took photographs at our birthday gathering last weekend.
FOUR_ My six cats – all rescued, feral cats. I can pet and touch four of them. the other two, Mr. Vivian and Miss Ivy, come close but are too afraid to be touched. They like to stand and watch me in the early mornings as I make my cup of tea. Miss Opal and her sister Miss Bessie are lovely shades of grey. The sisters are now 9 years old. Mama Miranda, and her son, Inca, are totally black.
It will take longer to win the confidence and trust of Mama Miranda’s two other adult children. Her son Vivian is a strong and healthy pure black male. Her daughter, Ivy, is a curious and beautiful calico female. It all takes time and patience.
FIVE_ Rest during the day and sleep at night. I take periodic rests during the day – intentionally thinking about rest and jus sit down and relax on purpose. I have sleep apnea, plus 2 dogs that have to go outside at night – plus a husban who is not well, and often gets up during the night.
SIX_ Red Rose Tea – I’ve been drinking Red Rose Tea since the early 60s.
SEVEN_ Rain. I put some 5-gallon buckets on my patio to catch the rain. I use it for watering my hanging baskets. This is the secret to healthy plants – to use rain water instead of water from the faucet.
EIGHT_Dinner with our daughter, Salome’ who comes to take us grocery shopping every week. We have dinner at a local restaurant, then we do the grocery shopping.
NINE_ My interview on The Write Stuff Blog this week. Ten Things You May Not Know About Me. Thank you, Marcia Meara, for the thoughtful questions. Read it Here!
