From Lynda’s Journal – A Dream of Drawing in the Dark ~
we now have a very early twilight and night descending. By 5:30 pm, it’s dark! It makes no sense to me to do this time change – we still get up in the dark, and now, we have one less hour in our afternoon before it gets dark. In my writing over the decades, darkness is a recurring theme. I focus on dark and darkness a lot in all seasons and it is a metaphor that shows up consistently in my poetry often.
I wrote this poem about drawing one night when I was in my room at a farm house, Bachmannhof , in Grödig, Austria. I lived there every summer for fourteen years.
