National Poetry Month – Day 6 – Mirth and Frivolity
National Poetry Month – Day 6
Thursday, April 6, 2023
I post a new poem each day in April.
Mirth and frivolity
Flaming yellow Forsythia flowers
flourish freely on fair spring days.
Friendly feathered friends
like Finches and Fish Crows
forecast future events with a flourish
as they fly over the forest.
Ferruginous Hawks fly
fast in circles above faunae
and foliage freely foretelling
farfetched fake fables
Frankly forthright
fabrications of famous weather
forecasters find amusement
in mirth and frivolity of fabricating
fibs for fun on the Friday night news.
- The End.
Would you like to try to write a poem using just one letter from the alphabet?
Select a letter and then make a list of possible words you might use in creating your poem.
Let your imagination FLY FREELY, my FRIEND.
