What’s Happening in June?
News from Lynda McKinney Lambert
Now, from the thick grass, the fireflies
begin to rise:
up, then down, then up again:
lit on the ascending flight,
drifting simultaneously to the same height,
exactly like the bubbles in champagne.

GARDENING – One Little Piece at a Time
In-between the rain and thunder storms that we experienced in May and into the first 2 days of June, I’ve been working outside to make our little gardens more attractive.
Our Zen Meditation Garden is in the center of this space and it is flourishing.
I wanted to begin working on the spaces that surround the Zen Meditation Garden so that it all looked a lot nicer this summer. But, it seemed like an overwhelming project at first.
Eventually, I started to think in a different way about it.
What will happen IF I WORK only ONE HOUR TODAY?
Yes! After one hour of work, I looked back and saw the wonderful progress I had made.
That became my motivation – just think of this as a one hour project.
ONE HOUR AT A TIME.
I focused on only one small place instead of the entire space.
This way, I could do it. I just kept my mind on that one small space at a time.
As with any new project, I feel overwhelmed at the beginning. But, by keeping my focus on one small part,, things move along very well. I am satisfied at what I accomplished and this motivates me to tackle the next small space.
