Our son, R. Andrew Lambert, was enchanted with this wall of flowers on the Rhododendron bushes behind our home. Adults become a child again when they engage with nature. He was laughing as he looked at this colorful bush.
Phlox always bloom in early June in the PA woods and rural roadsides. I walk in the woods every day with my dogs.
One final view of the Peaceful Prayer Garden. I love the Japanese Yellow Grass which looks like a big puffy waterfall! How about that tree? It is a Tamukeyama Tree from Japan. I love to just sit an LOOK at it’s splendor.

This Week in Photos

May 28 – June 3, 2023
PHOTOS from my home in the Village of Wurtemburg in Western Pennsylvania.
I have lived in this village since June 1967.
My River Road Studio, was established 1976. I have made art here since that time – almost fifty years.
I hope you enjoy My Week in Photos today.
This is my self-portrait – standing in my signature Birkenstock Sandals. I am viewing some new flowers we purchased for the gardens.
Bob and I planted these Rhododendron bushes about 50 years ago. To the right of the photo is the view from the hilltop that shows our neighbors century house and garage.
Bob and I created our Peaceful Prayer garden in 2007. It is designed like an ancient Zen Meditation Garden ,otherwise known as, a Dry Landscape Garden. See our little white concrete duck.
What do you do outdoor when the weather is pleasant in the summer months?
I divide my days up into time for caring for the gardens, writing in my office, creating art in my studio, walking the dogs and enjoying the landscape around my home. In the afternoons, I take a restive SIESTA, which gives me resting time and refreshes me for the remainder of the day.
What was your week like?
What special things make up your own day?
