Topic: “It’s About Time”
I am enjoying a wonderful day – I have resolved to not look at a clock today, and to keep my mind on God’s presence, and focused on His GLORY.
How to do do this:
I read a chapter in the wonderful book by Felix Halpern who is , a Messianic Rabbi, who wrote
Living With Heaven’s Glory Mindset
I read this one chapter at a time, and I usually read the chapter at least twice before I move on. After each chapter, there is an assignment that is given to make the chapter personal and to put into action the lessons of that chapter. The author gives five steps to begin living with a Davidic mindset.
Rabbi Halpern takes readers back to the scene where King David and his men are taking the ARK of the Covenant back to Jerusalem. This sacred object had been taken by the Philistines, so long ago, the Israelites could barely remember it. It was returned to the Israelites because of the strange things that happened to the people who stole it. They anted to get rid of this object and it’s an interesting story from ancient Israel.
The story of what happened when the Philistines placed the ark in a temple they had dedicated to a demonic god is hilarious. Yet, it sobering at the same time. It was so good to read this chapter today, and to know that God always turns things around and the things that our enemies take from us, will be returned in God’s timing.
I think the beautiful thing is that there are consequences that are so apparent when our enemies try to take away our faith in God.
This chapter gives 5 steps to learning how to live a Davidic lifestyle and assignments to think about and apply to my own life today. What a way to begin my day! It is glorious to see how God has never changed over the expanse of time from King David’s world to today’s news reports.

Final thoughts:
I had another revelation today as I was outside watering my flower gardens. It’s been very hot and we’ve had no rain for at least a week.
I’ve been thinking all summer that I want a sign for my flower garden. I’ve thought of many possibilities, but nothing seemed just right. Well, last evening, it came to me what I want my gardens to reflect to all who drive by and see them. My sign will say – “Shalom” which means wholeness and completion.
The reference I found described Shalom as “wholeness, completeness
The ancient Hebrew concept of peace, rooted in the word “shalom,” meant wholeness, completeness, soundness, health, safety and prosperity, carrying with it the implication of permanence.”

Blessings are
Aways
in my NEWS!
I often receive “blessings” in my mail box, my telephone, or the computer.
They come in a variety of ways.
Some are financial blessings that I did not know were coming to me.
I receive awards and sales, for my books, writings and artworks.
Some days I am invited out to lunch, or simply to go for a walk in the park with a friend.
Blessings come to us all the time if we are open to them.
Tell me about your own blessings and what has come to you recently as an unexpected blessing?
