WOW – it’s been nearly 2 months since I wrote a blog post!
Thank you for stopping by today. In December I completed 14 years of writing on this blog.
I am so glad to be able to stop this morning and write a short post to let you know that I am still around and still full of beautiful ideas and thoughts that inspire me every day.
I don’t believe in accidents, chance, fortune, luck, or fate.
I put my trust in Jesus and in His guidance in all I do. That includes everything I write and each work of art I create.
My mission statement affirms Hebrews 11:1 –
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for
evidence of things not seen.
I am always seeking those things that are lost, forgotten or invisible.
If you came to my site today, I know it is by Divine appointment. My website is dedicated to God, and to sharing His Word through my own life experiences, prayers, stories, poems, and conversations. I love to pray, and I am always here to pray for anyone who asks for prayer. Just let me know!
Send any prayer requests to me: llambert@zoominternet.net
I have not visited this blog to write anything new since my husband, Bob, went to live in his eternal home in Heaven on January 18. We would be married 63 years on April 14 – and learning to live without him in my life without him here with me these days is a walk of faith.
I needed to take a break for a few weeks. I have been writing this blog since December 2009 – this was the first time I have stepped back to take a respite. With this post, I begin YEAR FIFTEEN of Walking by Inner Vision Blog.
I‘ve been ON VACATION – resting and relaxing in our home.
I am spending time reading, praying, and trusting God.
I am often up during the fourth watch of the night to read God’s Word, and to pray. From 3 to 6 a.m., is a beautiful time because it is quiet, peaceful, and solitary. This set-apart time alone with God sets the atmosphere for the entire day. It makes a difference when I begin my day this way.
In my writing studio, I am at work on the final material for my next book.
Each Day Hold Some Small Joy, is a collection of 140 small poems that I have written over the past three years. The poems were inspired by my days working in my little flower gardens at my home.
I am so happy to announce that the FOREWORD to this new book is Cindy Bousquet Harris, Editor of Spirit Fire Review. Over the years my poems and non-fiction essays have been published in that on-line magazine that features the work of authors who write from a Christian worldview. I attended a workshop by Cindy last October, and it was a blessing to connect with the other poets in the workshop. In fact, the six of us who attended the workshop decided to continue working together on our writing. We meet each month, give ourselves group assignments and prompts to work on each month. We call our little group The Carousel Poets. I’ll write about that more in a future post.
My One Word for 2024 – Faithfulness
I’ll be back soon to continue writing and sharing regularly.
I’ve been writing at least one poem a day this year. Well, I’ll tell you more about that in my next post.
Blessed Lamb of God, be present with us this day.
