A Nice Finish to the Month of August
August 30, 2019
Hi Friends,
August is such a wonderful month for me!
I hate to say “good-bye” to August every year at this time.
I just celebrated my 76th birthday 3 days ago and I’m still in the celebrating mindset.
My sister, Patti, came for the day and we had Italian food at a local Italian restaurant in Ellwood City. She brought me a bouquet of flowers from her garden and she also brought CUPCAKES! Who would not be happy with that!
Bob joined us for the day and it was really a nice birthday for me.
Here are a couple of highlights from this month:
First, my newest book, Star Signs: New & Selected Poems, is on Amazon and other book selling sites.
I’m getting positive and encouraging responses from those who are reading the book – which makes me so happy.
It is a collection of 56 poems, 145 pages – and my poems cover a wide range from some I wrote as an undergrad student at Slippery Rock University of PA in the mid-80s – and others are brand new, written just for this book.
The holidays are not-so-far-away now, so I hope you might like to purchase a few copies to give for gifts this year. Several people have contacted me and want me to sign the books they will be gifting and I can do that for you – just let me know how many you want and send me a list of the names you want put into the book.
Today, I had another wonderful surprise. My interview with the amazing author, A. L. butcher, was published.
I think you may know a lot more about me after you read this interview. I appreciate the opportunity of sharing my life with friends in this way. Thank you, A.J. Butcher, for this feature article. I really enjoyed doing it with you.
